In the April 17, 2021 bypolls for Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency, Maddila Gurumoorthy of YSRCP won from this seat defeating Panabaka Lakshmi of TDP by a margin of 2,71,592 votes which was 24.58% of the total votes cast for the seat. YSRCP had a vote share of 56.67% in the bye-elections.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Balli Durga Prasad Rao of YSRCP won in this seat defeating Panabaka Lakshmi of TDP by a margin of 2,28,376 votes which was 17.39% of the total votes cast for the seat. YSRCP had a vote share of 54.91% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Varaprasad Rao Velagapalli of YSRCP emerged victorious in this seat beating Karumanchi Jayaram of BJP by a margin of 37,425 votes which was 3.09% of the total votes polled in the constituency. YSRCP secured a vote share of 47.84% in the seat.
