In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Pocha Brahmananda Reddy of YSRCP won in this seat defeating Mandra Sivananda Reddy of TDP by a margin of 2,50,119 votes which was 19.25% of the total votes cast for the seat. YSRCP had a vote share of 55.46% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, S P Y Reddy of YSRCP emerged victorious in this seat beating N Md Farook of TDP by a margin of 1,05,766 votes which was 10.27% of the total votes polled in the constituency. YSRCP secured a vote share of 51.73% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, S P Y Reddy of INC won this seat beating Nasyam Mohammed Farook of TDP by a margin of 90,847 votes which was 9.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 40.21% in the seat.
