In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Kotagiri Sridhar of YSRCP won in this seat defeating Magantti Venkateswara Rao Babu of TDP by a margin of 1,65,925 votes which was 12.5% of the total votes cast for the seat. YSRCP had a vote share of 50.8% in 2019 in this seat.

In 2014, Maganti Venkateswara Rao (Babu) of TDP emerged victorious in this seat beating Thota Chandra Sekhar of YSRCP by a margin of 1,01,926 votes which was 9.66% of the total votes polled in the constituency. TDP secured a vote share of 52.02% in the seat.

In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Kavuri Sambasiva Rao of INC won this seat beating Maganti Venkateswara Rao(Babu) of TDP by a margin of 42,783 votes which was 3.96% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 39.27% in the seat.
