In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Mukul Roy of BJP won in this constituency beating Koushani Mukherjee of TMC by a margin of 35089 votes which was 17.55% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Abani Mohan Joardar of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Asim Kumar Saha of INC by a margin of 12915 votes which was 6.88% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Abani Mohan Joardar of TMC won this seat defeating Ghosh Subinay (Bhajan) of CPIM by a margin of 35110 votes which was 20.59% of the total votes polled for the seat.
