In the 2021 West Bengal Assembly elections, Pannalal Halder of TMC won in this constituency beating Dipak Kumar Halder of BJP by a margin of 16996 votes which was 7.59% of the total votes cast. In 2016, Dipak Kumar Halder of TMC was the winner in this seat beating Dr. Abul Hasnat of CPIM by a margin of 15037 votes which was 7.54% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2011 Assembly elections, Dipak Kumar Halder of TMC won this seat defeating Subhra Sau of CPIM by a margin of 20774 votes which was 12.65% of the total votes polled for the seat.
