In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Dasyam Vinay Bhasker of TRS won in this seat defeating Revuri Prakash Reddy of TDP by a margin of 36,451 which was 25.2% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 56% in 2018 in this seat.
