In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Guntakandla Jagadish Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Damodar Reddy Ram Reddy of INC by a margin of 5,967 which was 3.25% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 37.34% in 2018 in this seat.
