In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Koneru Konappa of TRS won in this seat defeating Dr Palvai Harish Babu of INC by a margin of 24,036 which was 14.63% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 50.57% in 2018 in this seat.
