In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Manohar Reddy Dasari of TRS won in this seat defeating Chinthakunta Vijaya Ramana Rao of INC by a margin of 8,466 which was 4.53% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 44.33% in 2018 in this seat.
