In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Chilumula Madan Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Vakiti Sunitha of INC by a margin of 38,320 which was 20.87% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 57.54% in 2018 in this seat.
