In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Gaddigari Vittal Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Padakanti Ramadevi of BJP by a margin of 43,331 which was 23.55% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 45.62% in 2018 in this seat.
