In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao of TRS won in this seat defeating R Krishnaiah of INC by a margin of 30,652 which was 17.12% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 46.88% in 2018 in this seat.
