In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Kalvakuntla Vidyasagar Rao of TRS won in this seat defeating Juvvadi Narsinga Rao of INC by a margin of 31,220 which was 19.05% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 51.63% in 2018 in this seat.
