In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Hanmanth Shinde of TRS won in this seat defeating Gangaram Soudagar of INC by a margin of 35,625 which was 23.51% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 51.2% in 2018 in this seat.
