In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, M Sanjay Kumar of TRS won in this seat defeating Thatiparthi Jeevan Reddy of INC by a margin of 61,185 which was 38.31% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 65.27% in 2018 in this seat.
