In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Satish Kumar Voditela of TRS won in this seat defeating Chadha Venkat Reddy of CPI by a margin of 70,530 which was 37.75% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 62.67% in 2018 in this seat.
