In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Aruna D K of INC by a margin of 28,260 which was 14.78% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 52.52% in 2018 in this seat.
