In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Balka Suman of TRS won in this seat defeating Venkatesh Netha Borlakunta of INC by a margin of 28,132 which was 20.74% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 53.06% in 2018 in this seat.
