In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Pailla Shekar Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Anil Kumar Reddy Kumbam of INC by a margin of 24,063 which was 13.89% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 49.34% in 2018 in this seat.
