In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Ashannagari Jeevan Reddy of TRS won in this seat defeating Akula Lalitha of INC by a margin of 28,795 which was 20.51% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 51.37% in 2018 in this seat.
