In the 2018 Telangana Assembly elections, Kranthi Kiran Chanti of TRS won in this seat defeating C Damodar Rajanarsimha of INC by a margin of 16,465 which was 8.31% of the total votes cast for the seat. TRS had a vote share of 52.61% in 2018 in this seat.
