In 2014, Timothy William Basnett of SKM was the winner in this seat beating Bhasker Basnett of SDF by a margin of 122 votes which was 1.78% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dil Bahadur Thapa of SDF won this seat defeating Arun Kr Basnet of INC by a margin of 1,043 votes which was 18.56% of the total votes polled for the seat.
