In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Ugen T. Gyatso Bhutia of SDF won in this constituency beating Samdup Tshering Bhutia of SKM by a margin of 320 votes which was 2.41% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Nidup Tshering Lepcha of SKM by a margin of 3,192 votes which was 27.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Ugen T Gyatso Bhutia of SDF won this seat defeating Phuchung Bhutia of INC by a margin of 1,324 votes which was 14.58% of the total votes polled for the seat.
