In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Bedu Singh Panth of SKM won in this constituency beating Garjaman Gurung of SDF by a margin of 770 votes which was 6.54% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Garjaman Gurung of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Lalit Sharma of SKM by a margin of 1,389 votes which was 13.6% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Bedu Singh Panth of SDF won this seat defeating Lalit Sharma of INC by a margin of 1,740 votes which was 19.82% of the total votes polled for the seat.
