In 2014, Ugen Nedup Bhutia of SKM was the winner in this seat beating Thenlay Tshering Bhutia of SDF by a margin of 126 votes which was 1.34% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Thenlay Tshering Bhutia of SDF won this seat defeating Ugen Nedup Bhutia of INC by a margin of 2,164 votes which was 28.92% of the total votes polled for the seat.
