In the 2019 Sikkim Assembly elections, Lok Nath Sharma of SKM won in this constituency beating Laxuman Sharma of SDF by a margin of 1,814 votes which was 17.66% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Sher Bahadur Subedi of SDF was the winner in this seat beating Lok Nath Sharma of SKM by a margin of 639 votes which was 7.18% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Man Bahadur Dahal of SDF won this seat defeating Youa Raj Rai of INC by a margin of 3,410 votes which was 46.77% of the total votes polled for the seat.
