In 2014, Shyam Pradhan of SKM was the winner in this seat beating Udai Lama of SDF by a margin of 1,606 votes which was 23.1% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Narendra Kr Pradhan of SDF won this seat defeating Bharat Basnett of INC by a margin of 1,455 votes which was 26.71% of the total votes polled for the seat.
