In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Kusum Tete of BJP won in this constituency beating Jogesh Kumar Singh of BJD by a margin of 7,364 votes which was 4.22% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jogesh Kumar Singh of INC was the winner in this seat beating Kusum Tete of BJD by a margin of 12,584 votes which was 7.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Jogesh Kumar Singh of INC won this seat defeating Sunil Kumar Singh Deo of BJD by a margin of 20,930 votes which was 16.66% of the total votes polled for the seat.
