In 2014, Mangala Kisan of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Gregory Minz of INC by a margin of 10,036 votes which was 6.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Gregory Minz of INC won this seat defeating Benedict Tirkey of BJD by a margin of 4,115 votes which was 3.57% of the total votes polled for the seat.
