In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Sadasiva Pradhani of BJD won in this constituency beating Gouri Shankar Majhi of BJP by a margin of 6,878 votes which was 3.66% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Manohar Randhari of BJD was the winner in this seat beating Sadan Nayak of INC by a margin of 11,389 votes which was 6.59% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Manohar Randhari of BJD won this seat defeating Sadan Nayak of INC by a margin of 3,334 votes which was 2.36% of the total votes polled for the seat.
