In the 2019 Odisha Assembly elections, Manohar Randhari of BJD won in this constituency beating Bhujabal Majhi of INC by a margin of 7,363 votes which was 4.47% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Bhujabal Majhi of INC was the winner in this seat beating Motiram Nayak of BJD by a margin of 6,097 votes which was 4.04% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Bhujabal Majhi of INC won this seat defeating Motiram Nayak of BJD by a margin of 7,374 votes which was 6.15% of the total votes polled for the seat.
