Odisha will vote in simultaneous Assembly elections along with the Lok Sabha polls in the April-May cycle. The tenure of the current Assembly ends on June 24, 2024. There are 147 Assembly constituencies in Odisha, out of which 33 are reserved for Scheduled Tribes. Naveen Patnaik's BJD swept the state in the 2019 Assembly elections, winning 113 seats. The BJP came a distant second with 23 seats, followed by the Congress with nine, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) with 1 and an Independent candidate bagging another seat.
