In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Nihar Kanti Chakma of INC won in this seat defeating Kina Ranjan Chakma of BJP by a margin of 2,400 which was 18.53% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 45.88% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Nihar Kanti Chakma of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Priti Ranjan Chakma of MNF by a margin of 3,334 votes which was 30.78% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 63.84% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Nihar Kanti Chakma of INC won this seat beating Alak Bikash Chakma of MNF by a margin of 1,540 votes which was 17.29% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 56.73% in the seat.
