In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Buddha Dhan Chakma of BJP won in this seat defeating Rasik Mohan Chakma of MNF by a margin of 1,594 which was 6.1% of the total votes cast for the seat. BJP had a vote share of 43.68% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Buddha Dhan Chakma of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Rasik Mohan Chakma of MNF by a margin of 8,726 votes which was 41.42% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 69.43% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Nirupam Chakma of INC won this seat beating Rasik Mohan Chakma of MNF by a margin of 3,112 votes which was 16.86% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 56.44% in the seat.
