Election results

In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Lalduhoma of IND won in this seat defeating Lal Thanhawla of INC by a margin of 410 which was 2.64% of the total votes cast for the seat. IND had a vote share of 35.26% in 2018 in this seat.

In 2013, Lal Thanhawla of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating C Lalramzauva of MNF by a margin of 734 votes which was 5.32% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 41.48% in the seat.

In the 2008 elections, Lalthanhawla of INC won this seat beating C Lalramzauva of ZNP by a margin of 952 votes which was 7.96% of the total votes polled in the constituency. ZNP had a vote share of 39.68% in the seat.

Serchhip comprises of the following areas of Serchhip district in the North region of Mizoram: Wd No 1 Serchhip Venglai, Wd No 2 Serchhip 'e', Wd No 3 Serchhip 'W' and Wd No 4 New Serchhip in Serchhip (Notified Town), Thenzawl (Notified Town), Buangpui and Neihloh in Serchhip R D Block.
