In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Dr K Beichhua of MNF won in this seat defeating S Hiato of INC by a margin of 2,468 which was 15.16% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 49.82% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Dr K Beichhua of MNF emerged victorious in this seat beating S Hiato of INC by a margin of 222 votes which was 1.5% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 49.62% in the seat.
