Lalduhoma

Lalduhoma is the Zoram People's Movement candidate from Serchhip (Scheduled Tribe) constituency in Serchhip district of Mizoram in the 2023 Assembly elections. His profession according to the election affidavit filed with the Election Commission is: Politician. Lalduhoma's educational qualifications are: Graduate and is of 73 years of age. His total declared assets are Rs 4.1 crore which includes Rs 1.1 crore in moveable assets and Rs 3 crore as immovable assets. The total declared income is Rs 0 of which Rs 0 is self income. Lalduhoma is the leader of the Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) and a former IPS officer from Mizoram. In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly Election, he won from two constituencies including Aizawl West-I and Serchhip by defeating MNF and Congress candidates. However, he chose to represent the Serchhip constituency and became the Leader of the Opposition. Lalduhoma was also the founder of the Zoram Nationalist Party (ZNP) and contested the 2013 Mizoram Assembly Election as its representative from the Kolasib constituency but lost. He was disqualified as an MLA on charges of breaching the anti-defection law. However, he was re-elected from the Serchhip seat in a bypoll. He was also the Mizoram Lok Sabha member from the Congress in 1984.
