Election results
In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Lalrindika Ralte of INC won in this seat defeating Lalrinenga Sailo of MNF by a margin of 366 which was 1.97% of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 33.32% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Lalrinmawia Ralte of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Saikapthianga of MNF by a margin of 2,333 votes which was 13.47% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 45.35% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Lalrinmawia Ralte of INC won this seat beating H Lalenvela of MNF by a margin of 2,617 votes which was 19.45% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 51.96% in the seat.

Hachhek comprises of the following areas of Mamit district in the North region of Mizoram: Villages Kanhmun, moraicherra (luimawi), lushaicherra (Thinghlun), Hriphaw, Bungthuam, Zawlpui, Zamuang, Rengdil, Kawrthah, Tumpanglui, Tuidam, Sotapa Veng, mualthuam, Kawrtethawveng, Thaidawr IV, Thaidawr I, Serhmun, N W Bunghmun, Sihthiang, lungmawi, Kananthar, Darlak, Saikhawthlir, Chuhvel, Zawlnuam (Notified Town) and Sarali K in Zawlnuam R D Block; and Villages Belkhai and Zomuan in W Phaileng R D Block.
