In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, V L Zaithanzama of IND won in this seat defeating Vanlalzawma of MNF by a margin of 1,026 which was 6.1% of the total votes cast for the seat. IND had a vote share of 41.22% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Vanlalzawma of MNF emerged victorious in this seat beating R Selthuama of INC by a margin of 978 votes which was 6.44% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 37.99% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, R Selthuama of INC won this seat beating Col Lalchungnunga Sailo of MPC by a margin of 1,113 votes which was 8.68% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MPC had a vote share of 40.82% in the seat.
