In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, Vanlalhlana of IND won in this seat defeating Lalringliana of MNF by a margin of 1,165 which was 6.58% of the total votes cast for the seat. IND had a vote share of 40.09% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, R Romawia of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Vanlalhlana of MPC by a margin of 657 votes which was 4.08% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 37.08% in the seat.
