In the 2018 Mizoram Assembly elections, C Lalmuanpuia of MNF won in this seat defeating Lal Thanzara of INC by a margin of 434 which was 2.96% of the total votes cast for the seat. MNF had a vote share of 35.21% in 2018 in this seat.
In 2013, Lal Thanzara of INC emerged victorious in this seat beating Lalchhandama Ralte of MNF by a margin of 750 votes which was 5.45% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 45.48% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Lal Thanzara of INC won this seat beating K Sangthuama of MNF by a margin of 506 votes which was 4.46% of the total votes polled in the constituency. MNF had a vote share of 36.2% in the seat.
