This constituency covers an approximate area of 750.61 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 20°51'19.4"N 78°40'05.9"E.

A total of five Assembly constituencies in the state of Maharashtra share borders with Wardha constituency, which are: Deoli, Arvi, Hingna, Hinganghat, Katol. This constituency shares an inter-state border with .

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Dr Pankaj Rajesh Bhoyar of BJP won in this constituency beating Shekhar Pramod Shende of INC by a margin of 7,847 votes which was 04.63% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dr Pankaj Rajesh Bhoyar of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Shekar Pramod Shende of INC by a margin of 8,550 votes which was 5.15% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Deshmukh Suresh Bapuraoji of IND won this seat defeating Shende Shekhar Pramod of INC by a margin of 11,665 votes which was 7.93% of the total votes polled for the seat.
