This constituency covers an approximate area of square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 19°23'07.4"N 72°51'10.4"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Hitendra Vishnu Thakur of BVA won in this constituency beating Vijay Govind Patil of SS by a margin of 25,952 votes which was 13.66% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Hitendra Vishnu Thakur of BVA was the winner in this seat beating Vivek Raghunath Pandit(Bhau) of IND by a margin of 31,896 votes which was 16.72% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Vivek Raghunath Pandit(Bhau) of IND won this seat defeating Narayan Mankar of BVA by a margin of 16,798 votes which was 9.98% of the total votes polled for the seat.
