There were a total of 2,83,379 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Ulhas Nagar Assembly constituency, of which 1,51,378 were male, 1,31,898 female and 103 of the third gender. This constituency covers an approximate area of 17.51 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 19°14'34.4"N 73°10'59.2"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Ailani Kumar Uttamchand of BJP won in this constituency beating Jyoti Pappu Kalani of NCP by a margin of 1,946 votes which was 01.78% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Jyoti Pappu Kalani of NCP was the winner in this seat beating Ailani Kumar of BJP by a margin of 1,863 votes which was 1.49% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Kumar Uttamchand Ailyani of BJP won this seat defeating Kalani Suresh (Pappu) Budharmal of IND by a margin of 7,538 votes which was 7.06% of the total votes polled for the seat.
