In 2014, Naik Shivajirao Yashwantrao of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Mansingh Fattesingh Naik of NCP by a margin of 3,668 votes which was 1.68% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Mansing Fattesingrao Naik of IND won this seat defeating Naik Shivajirao Yashavantrao of INC by a margin of 25,918 votes which was 13.33% of the total votes polled for the seat.
