In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Dr Rahul Vedprakash Patil of SS won in this constituency beating Mohammad Gouse Zain of VBA by a margin of 80,849 votes which was 42.05% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dr Rahul Vedprakash Patil of SS was the winner in this seat beating Syad Khalad Syad Sahebjan of AIMIM by a margin of 26,526 votes which was 13.93% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Jadhav Sanjay (Bandu) Haribhau of SS won this seat defeating Vikhar Ahemad of IND by a margin of 20,523 votes which was 12.61% of the total votes polled for the seat.
