Demographic profile

There were a total of 4,28,845 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Nagpur North Assembly constituency, of which 2,12,989 were male, 2,15,752 female and 104 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 3,84,742 registered voters, of which 1,95,519 were male, 1,89,183 female and 40 from the third gender. In 2014 elections, there were a total of 3,38,120 registered voters in this constituency, of which 1,74,342 were male and 1,63,769 female. In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Dr Nitin Raut of INC won in this constituency beating Dr Milind Mane of BJP by a margin of 20,593 votes which was 10.52% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dr Milind Mane of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Kishore Uttamrao Gajbhiye Ias (R) of BSP by a margin of 13,718 votes which was 7.55% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Dr Nitin Raut of INC won this seat defeating Tambe Rajesh of BJP by a margin of 17,862 votes which was 11.53% of the total votes polled for the seat.
