There were a total of 3,41,169 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2024 Assembly election in Nagpur Central Assembly constituency, of which 1,68,107 were male, 1,73,022 female and 40 of the third gender. In the 2019 Assembly elections, there were a total of 3,24,233 registered voters, of which 1,63,634 were male, 1,60,588 female and 11 from the third gender. In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Vikas Shankarrao Kumbhare of BJP won in this constituency beating Bunty Baba Shelke of INC by a margin of 3,996 votes which was 02.45% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Kumbhare Vikas Shankarrao of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Anees Ahmed of INC by a margin of 38,071 votes which was 23.64% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Kumbhare Vikas Shankarrao of BJP won this seat defeating Dr Ramchandra Alias Raju Narendra Deoghare of INC by a margin of 10,791 votes which was 6.97% of the total votes polled for the seat.
