In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Shinde Babanrao Vitthalrao of NCP won in this constituency beating Kokate Sanjay Shivlal of SS by a margin of 67,677 votes which was 29.80% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Shinde Babanrao Vitthalrao of NCP was the winner in this seat beating Kale Kalyan Vasantrao of INC by a margin of 35,778 votes which was 15.95% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Shinde Babanrao Vitthalrao of NCP won this seat defeating Sawant Shivaji Jaywant of IND by a margin of 63,169 votes which was 35.09% of the total votes polled for the seat.
