This constituency covers an approximate area of 1677.47 square kilometers and the geographic coordinates of Sabalagadh is: 21°17'23.6"N 78°34'57.4"E.

In the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections, Anil Deshmukh of NCP won in this constituency beating Charansing Babulalji Thakur of BJP by a margin of 16,794 votes which was 08.84% of the total votes cast. In 2014, Dr Ashish Deshmukh of BJP was the winner in this seat beating Anil Deshmukh of NCP by a margin of 5,557 votes which was 3.13% of the total votes polled in the constituency. In the 2009 Assembly elections, Anil Deshmukh of NCP won this seat defeating Charansing Babulalji Thakur of RPI(A) by a margin of 32,203 votes which was 20.08% of the total votes polled for the seat.
